The giving season is upon us, and in Colorado, that means it’s time for Colorado Gives Day! Mark your calendar for Tuesday, December 4 and please show your support for our state’s 4-H youth through a donation to the Colorado 4-H Foundation. Together we can set a new 24-hour record for giving this year starting at 12:01 am MST on Tuesday, December 4.

About Colorado Gives Day

One of the largest one-day giving movements in the country takes place every December as Coloradans come together with the common goal to strengthen their communities by helping to power nonprofits. Community First Foundation and FirstBank partner to make this day rewarding for givers, nonprofits and the community as a whole.

Last year’s event featured a $1 million Incentive Fund. Every nonprofit receiving a donation on Colorado Gives Day benefitted from a portion of the fund, increasing the value of every dollar donated. Colorado Gives Day has grown to be the state’s largest one-day online giving event, raising more than $182 million since it began in 2010.

About the Colorado 4-H Foundation

The Colorado 4-H Foundation supports our state’s innovative and long-standing 4-H program and its mission:  To empower youth to reach their full potential.

In partnership with caring adults, the Colorado 4-H program teaches invaluable life and leadership skills to more than 113,000 rural and urban youth ages 5-18 annually. 4-H educational content focuses on nutrition, healthy lifestyle, youth governance, animal care, community service, science, technology and more. Youth across Colorado are educated by 4-H through school enrichment activities, targeted initiatives and traditional community club programs.

The Colorado 4-H Foundation was formed in 1952 as a nonprofit 501c3 organization with the specific purpose of raising and dispersing funds for the 4-H Youth Development Program of Colorado State University Extension. With support from donors, the Foundation provides financial resources for scholarships, educational trips, awards and other innovative opportunities for 4-H youth and adult volunteer leaders.
