Hoshiko Tournament a Big Success

Golf at 4H foundation Golf Tournament

Thank you to the more than 200 supporters of Colorado’s 4-H youth that participated in the 2018 Paul and Jean Hoshiko Memorial 4-H Golf Tournament held at the famed Pelican Lakes Golf & Country Club in Windsor, Colorado on June 1st.

Colorado 4-H Foundation event raised nearly $20,000 for 4-H youth programs across the state. Special guests included 2018 Weld County Rodeo Queen Madison LaBorde, 4-H State Senate participants and hard-working 4-H volunteers from Weld and Larimer Counties. The Foundation’s 2018 Ford F-150 Super Crew Raffle Truck was also on hand and dozens of tickets were sold.

Gabriel Dupon, a member of the Rocky Mountain Light 4-H Club in Larimer County, served as the event photographer and wonderfully captured the fun of the day and beauty of the course. View the photo gallery here.

The tournament is named in honor of longtime Weld County residents Paul and Jean Hoshiko. As a youth, Paul was an exemplary 4-H member. During his adult life he was an outstanding supporter of 4-H, including being the president of the Colorado 4-H Foundation board of trustees and a member of the Colorado 4-H Hall of Fame. Paul shared his passion for 4-H with his family and wife Jean and together they worked tirelessly to “Make the Best Better.”
