The Colorado 4-H Foundation will be offering the following scholarships for 2018. Click here to submit an applicationApplications need to be completed by April 1. Each applicant must have two references (other than your Extension Agent) and a recent/current photograph. The photograph will be used for media purposes.

1st Choice After School Kare 4-H Youth Scholarship
Amount: $1000
Qualifiers:

  • Colorado 4-H member
  • High school senior
  • 3.0 GPA or higher

Colorado Agricultural Development Authority 4-H Youth Scholarship (CADA)
Amount: $1000 (5 scholarships to be given @ $1000 ea)
Qualifiers:

  • Colorado 4-H members
  • Attend a college or university in Colorado with an accredited agriculture program
  • High school senior
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Citizenship/leadership/community service (in 4-H, school, and community)
  • Maintain a C or better GPA while enrolled in college/university

Bill & Barbara Holthaus 4-H Youth Scholarship
Amount: $1000 (3 scholarships to be given @ $1000 ea)
Qualifiers:

  • Colorado 4-H members
  • Attend a four year college or university in Colorado
  • High school senior
  • Citizenship/leadership/community service (in 4-H, school, and community)
  • Cumulative high school GPA 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 system

Kimberling Family 4-H Youth Scholarship
Amount: $1000 (3 scholarships to be given @ $1000 ea)
Qualifiers:

(A) – two scholarships to be given, 1 4-H member, 1 FFA member

  • Colorado 4-H Member OR Colorado FFA Member
  • High school senior
  • Attend Colorado State University (CSU), enrolled in a pre-vet program.
  • Applicant must have enrolled in and completed 4-H or FFA projects in food animal production

(B) – one scholarship to be given

  • Colorado 4-H Member
  • Current upperclassman in the College of Agricultural Sciences studying Nutrition at Colorado State University (CSU)
  • Applicant must have enrolled in and completed 4-H projects in food animal production.

Murdoch’s Ranch & Home Supply 4-H Youth Scholarship
Amount: $1000 (5 scholarships to be given @ $1000 ea)
Qualifiers:

  • Colorado 4-H member
  • High school senior
  • Attend an accredited College, University or Trade School
  • 2.0 High School GPA

Portouw Photography 4-H Youth Scholarship
Amount: $1000
Qualifiers:

  • Colorado 4-H Member
  • Must have done Photography in 4-H for three years
  • Exhibited Photography at the Colorado State Fair for a minimum of two years

Audrey Sandstead 4-H Youth Scholarship
Amount: $1000
Qualifiers:

  • Colorado 4-H Member<
  • Incoming freshman or transfer student (High school senior)
  • First year at Colorado State University (CSU)
  • Pursuing a degree in the college of Applied Human Sciences

Howard E. & Marjory M. Smith 4-H Youth Scholarship
Amount: $1000
Qualifiers:

  • Colorado 4-H Member
  • High school senior
  • 3.0 GPA or higher

Charles and Margret Vezzetti Scholarship
Amount: $1000
Qualifiers:

  • Fremont County, Colorado 4-H Member
  • High school senior
  • Planning to attend Colorado State University (CSU) majoring in agriculture.
  • 2.0 High School GPA

Betty Kimberling Memorial Scholarship
Amount: $1000 (2 scholarships to be given @ $1000 ea)
Qualifiers:

  • Former Colorado 4-H member
  • Must have completed Freshman year at CSU
  • 3.0 GPA
  • Contribute to the Department of Health and Exercise Science, the University, and community through volunteering and public service activities.

Colorado Rural Rehabilitation Corporation Scholarship
Amount: $1000
Qualifiers:

  • Colorado 4-H Member
  • High school senior
  • Plan on attending Colorado State University (CSU)

CSU 4-H Freshman Award
Amount: $1000 (25 scholarships to be given @ $1000 ea)
Qualifiers:

  • Colorado 4-H Member
  • High school senior
  • High School GPA of 3.25 or higher
  • Test Scores 22/1010 or higher

CSU 4-H Transfer Award
Amount: $1000 (5 scholarships to be given @ $1000 ea)
Qualifiers:

  • Colorado 4-H Member
  • Transfer Student
  • 2.75 college GPA or higher
  • Test Scores of 22/1010 or higher

CCI (Colorado Counties Inc.) Foundation Youth Scholarship
Amount: $1200
Qualifiers:

  • Colorado 4-H Member
  • High school senior
  • Colorado College

Benjamin and Patricia Woods Scholarship
Amount: $1000
Qualifiers:

  • Colorado 4-H Member
  • Completed at least 3 years 4-H in Montrose County
  • High school senior/Continuing agriculture student
  • 2.5 GPA or higher
  • Majoring in Agriculture

Beginning Farmer Loan Program
Amount: Varies
Qualifiers:

  • Borrower must be a Beginning Farmer which is defined as an individual who has never owned farmland which is equal to or greater than 30 percent of the median county farm acreage.
  • Funds can only be used for the purchase of agricultural land and depreciable agricultural property.
  • The maximum which can be borrowed is $520,000.
  • Borrower must be approved by a lender.
  • Loans are not guaranteed by the government or by CADA.
  • The borrower and lender must mutually agree upon the terms of the loan (i.e. interest rate, length of loan).
  • Interest rates can be either fixed or floating.
  • Loan applications must be approved by CADA within 60 days of any payments made on the project.
  • No portion of the loan may be used for a personal residence.
